These multi-purpose gear oils are formulated with high quality paraffinic base oils and a premium additive system to provide smooth, quiet performance with maximum protection against wear in gear applications. They are intended for gears, particularly hypoid gears, in axles operating under various combinations of high-speed shock loads and low-speed, high torque conditions. They meet the requirements of most manufacturers for differentials and manual transmissions. They are the right lubricant for conventional differentials in passenger cars, light-duty and heavy-duty trucks, and manual transmissions requiring an API GL-5 lubricant. Additionally, these gear oils meet the following specifications:
