The EA175V Engine from Subaru is designed for use on a variety of vertical-shaft engine applications. The air-cooled, 174 cc displacement engine features a chain-driven overhead cam (OHC) technology and a hemispherical combustion chamber. A larger recoil reel offers greater pulling leverage and an automatic decompression system reduces the required recoil pulling force. The EA175V is built with a low-tone muffler, heavy-duty piston rings and a cast-iron cylinder liner.
