The new 104,068-lb. Terex TA250 boasts a maximum payload capacity of 27.5 tons and a heaped capacity of 20.3 cu. yds. A 365-hp Cummins turbocharged, Tier-3 compliant engine with a high-capacity cooling system is paired with a ZF fully automatic transmission with manual override. Maximum torque is 1,234 ft-lb at 1,400 rpm. Six forward and three reverse gears enable travel speeds up to 31 mph. The three axles are in permanent all-wheel drive (6x6) and come with 100% cross-axle lockup. Wet disc brakes are included on all six wheels, and an engine brake retarder is standard. The ergonomically designed cab features control positions and instrument groupings placed according to operator feedback. It also includes standard hydrostatic power steering, air conditioning, a high-quality sound system and strategically placed mirrors.
