The redesigned BL60B and BL70B backhoe-loaders feature a larger excavator boom with narrow, tall arch design that uses a closed box-welded approach. Average operating weights range from 17,500 to 19,500 lbs. The units offer maximum digging depths of 17 ft. 11 in. and 18 ft. 3 in. (extended) and loader lift capacities of 6,200 and 7,320 lbs. They are powered by 83- and 98-gross-hp Volvo D5D four-cylinder, 4.8-liter, Tier 3 engines with direct injection and turbocharging. A cast bucket linkage design allows the bucket to rotate 205° for vertical digging in all positions without repositioning the machine. Flow-sharing hydraulics enable multi-functioning for efficient and smooth operation.
