Three new models extend Cat's mini excavators with dig depths of nearly 12 ft.

Caterpillar added three mini-excavatorsto its range – the 300.9D, the 301.4C and the 302.7D – with operating weights of 2,000, 3,300 and 5,900 lbs. and dig depths to nearly 12 ft. 

The 300.9D weighs 2,061 lbs. and has an overall width of just 28.7 in. An 18.4-hp water-cooled three-cylinder diesel engine and twin gear pump hydraulic system create a maximum stick breakout force of 1,011 lbf. and maximum bucket breakout force of 2,000 lbf. The unit comes with an extending undercarriage and fold-out dozer blade, ensuring maximum stability and allowing a digging depth of up to 69.4 in.

Weighing from 2,921 to 3,340 lbs., the 301.4C comes with a choice of cab or FOPS/TOPS canopy, and standard or extending width undercarriage. A 24-hp engine enables a maximum bucket breakout force of 35,97 lbf. Maximum digging depth is 143.5 in. and reach at ground level extends to 145.7 in. Standard equipment includes single and two-way auxiliary hydraulic lines, a sturdy dozer blade, suspension seat and a hydraulic oil cooler.

Available with canopy or full cab, the 302.7D CR weighs from 5,681 to 5,886 lbs. Its 24-hp engine and load-sensing hydraulic system enable a maximum bucket force of 5,058 lbf. A compact radius design is combined with a spacious operator environment and easy access to regular service points. Features include standard two-way auxiliary lines, a joystick-mounted proportional auxiliary control and sturdy dozer blade with float function.
