The Lifeline series of resilient flooring, manufactured by the Finnish company Uponor and distributed in the U.S. by Altro Floors as the CS Line, is a new generation of flooring designed from minerals and thermoplasic polymers. It is made for heavy-traffic commercial spaces but contains no PVC, plasticizers, phthalates, halogens (including chlorine or bromine), or heavy metals.
Made primarily from limestone along with an ethylene/methacrylic acid copolymer thermoplastic resin binder, Lifeline has an ionomeric wear layer, similar to a golf-ball cover, that is resistant to a wide variety of chemicals and requires minimal maintenance. It contains 25% pre-consumer recycled content, is FloorScore certified and is available in sheet form and in a variety of colors and patterns.
