The Tier-4-compliant version of the Genie GTH-5519 compact telehandler no longer offers a Perkins engine option, but the 74-hp Deutz TD 2.9 L4 diesel makes 10 percent more power than the previous engine choices. The engine does not require a diesel particulate filter. As of the first quarter of 2014, the GTH-5519 is available with a Tier-3 version of the Deutz engine for use in lesser-regulated countries.
