ECO is the product name for EP Henry’s line of Permeable Interlocking Concrete Pavement (PICP) systems
- By allowing water to filter back down into the soil, EP Henry’s ECO Pavers reduce stormwater runoff and its potential pollution
- The ECO line qualifies as a Best Management Practices (BMP) as outlined by the EPA and state agencies and may provide credits toward LEED certification
- ECO Pavers allow water to immediately be infiltrated into the soil because they are Permeable Interlocking Concrete Pavement (PICP). PICP has a layer of individual concrete pavers (or stone blocks) separated by joints filled with small stones. When water enters these joints, it flows down through an “open-graded” base of crushed stones, rather than a thick, impenetrable surface.
- Recent infiltration tests demonstrated ECO Pavers taking on water at a rate of 577”/hour, mitigating stormwater runoff
