Komatsu says its first Intelligent-Machine-Control dozer above 350 hp, the D155AXi-8, moves material up to 8% more efficiently than a similar dozer with aftermarket grade control systems. Intelligent Machine Control is a Komatsu venture with Topcon that integrates GPS-based grade control into the machine’s hydraulic system. The system interfaces with the drive train to virtually eliminate track slip in heavy dozing, while continuing to cut to grade. And the system is designed to fine grade with maximum efficiently much like most automated grade controls.

  • Senses and controls blade load to optimize start of cut and minimize track slip
  • 354-hp, 15.2L Komatsu SAA6D140E-7 diesel, certified Tier 4 Final
  • Emits 80% less nitrogen oxides than Tier-4-Interim predecessor
  • Automatic shift transmission and lock-up torque converter
  • SIGMADOZER blade designed to dig and roll up more soil at the blade’s center to reduce resistance and doze 15% more soil with less power than semi-u blades
  • Komatsu CARE complimentary maintenance and two DPF replacements for the first three years or 2,000 hours
