The underground segment will be led by Dave Wisniewski, senior director of underground installations and global accounts. With the company since 1997, he previously held positions as regional manager, global account manager and sales manager. In his new role, he is responsible for sales, engineering and service support for the rubber tire, compact and trenchless product groups, as well as the global accounts group.

Perkins Engines Co. Ltd. is investing $59 million to create a global crankshaft machining center at its headquarters in Peterborough, UK. The facility will begin production in 2008, and will produce over 250,000 units a year when at full capacity.

bauma 2007 Breaks Show Records
The bauma exhibition, which takes place April 23 to 29, 2007, in Munich, Germany, will feature over 3,000 exhibitors displaying innovations in the field of machinery and equipment for the construction, building materials and mining industries, as well as construction vehicles. The exhibitor figure represents about a 10% increase over 2004.

In addition, all 16 exhibition halls and the entire open-air site are fully booked. Because of the tremendous demand, stand space for the show was increased by 40,000 sq. meters to 540,000 sq. meters. This also represents a roughly 10% expansion, and makes the 2007 exhibition the largest in the show's history.
