Rayco C87L Crawler
The C87L Crawler compact track loader utilizes the same components found on larger steel track equipment.

  • Undercarriage contains no plastic components
  • High-strength steel tracks or optional rubber tracks with 4.3-psi ground pressure
  • 87-hp Deutz turbocharged diesel engine
  • Standard .75-cu.-yd. bucket

Hyundai HSL T Series Loaders
The HSL T Series includes 11 rubber-tired skid steers with 475- to 2,525-lb. operating capacities, plus a tracked unit rated at 3,200 lbs.

  • 46- to 110.75-in. maximum dump heights
  • 4.4- to 12.3-mph maximum travel speeds
  • Easy access to all controls, hydraulics and hydrostatic system components via the cab without tools

Ground-up Redesign for Cat C-Series
Caterpillar started at the ground floor with development of its C-Series skid steers and Multi Terrain Loaders. "This is not a tweak," states Todd Lynnes, SSL/MTL marketing manager. "This is a wholesale, blank sheet of paper redesign to meet the changing needs of our customers for a 'production' vs. a 'utility' machine."

According to Lynnes, the construction industry is trending toward bigger machines with higher rated operating capacities (ROC). As such, changes to the C-Series machines focus on delivering increased ROC to allow for greater productivity and the ability to use heavier work tools. The machines have also been designed to be more "kittable" for tailoring to the specific needs of the user and the applications.

With an ROC of 3,250 lbs. and a power output of 90 net hp, the vertical lift 272C is the largest skid steer Caterpillar has produced. It is joined by the 82-hp 262C vertical lift machine with a 2,700-lb. operating capacity, and the 73-hp 246C and 82-hp 256C radial lift machines with ROCs of 2,150 and 2,350 lbs.
