Like its wheeled counterpart, the vertical lift 297C Multi Terrain Loader is the company's largest ever machine of its type. It has a 4,233-lb. ROC (50% tipping load) and delivers 90 net hp. The vertical lift 287C has an ROC of 3,854 lbs., and the radial lift 277C has a 3,212-lb. ROC. Both models offer 82 net hp.

The Multi Terrain Loaders feature a new undercarriage design with tapered roller bearings and heavy-duty metal face seals on the idlers and bogies. The 18-in.-wide rubber tracks now feature three rows of lugs. This creates a larger area for the track to engage with the guide system, enhancing guiding when working on side slopes. The track tensioning system has also been simplified for quicker, easier adjustments.

Both the C-Series skid-steer loaders and Multi Terrain Loaders deliver greater lift and tilt forces, increased drawbar pull and more power via Cat 3044C DIT 3.3-liter, turbocharged engines. The electro-hydraulic hydrostatic drive system is engineered to provide the proper balance between power and speed for optimum performance when digging or dozing. An electronic torque management system maximizes power to the ground and prevents the engine from stalling in tough digging and dozing applications. The optional Advanced Machine Information and Control System (AMICS) provides the ability to select the level of implement responsiveness, as well as provides a choice of 10 work speed settings.

The optional High Flow XPS high-flow, high-pressure hydraulic system enables use of work tools requiring high flow and pressure, such as landscape rakes and cold planers. The system uses a load-sensing, variable-displacement pump to deliver a maximum of 33-gpm flow and maximum 4,061-psi pressure.

The optional enclosed cab is sealed and pressurized for a cleaner, quieter working environment. Ventilation air is filtered to keep dust out and clean air in. High-efficiency air conditioning and heating and an air ride seat are also available.
