Kobelco introduces its new crawler crane "G-series" models at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2011. Cranes with lifting capacities that range from 85 to 275 tons for North America and 60 to 250 metric tons for Europe have been newly designed, upgraded and improved.

The new G-series models feature new engines that comply with the latest emission standards including EPA Interim Tier 4 and EURO stage IIIB. The rated output of the engines has been upgraded from the previous series.

With a new energy-saving assist system - the "G MODE" system - the cranes can achieve up to 30% less fuel consumption versus previous models. G-MODE includes Auto Idle Stop System, Energy Saving Winch Control System and Engine RPM Limitation System. With the Energy Saving Winch System, the hoist winch can be turned at maximum speed without the engine accelerating under no-load lifting.

Other features of the G-series includes: counterweight detection device, ground level sensor, improved counterweight self installation mechanism, and a new hydraulic circuit.

New models are adaptable to work at bucket and lifting applications.
