JLG to Demonstrate its LiftPod Personal Portable Lifts at Safety 2011

JLG Industries Inc. will exhibit its line of LiftPod personal portable lifts during the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Safety 2011 Conference and Exposition.

McConnellsburg, PA - JLG Industries Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation company, will exhibit its line of LiftPod personal portable lifts during the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Safety 2011 Conference and Exposition, which will be held June 12-15, 2011 at McCormick Place West in Chicago.

The new JLG FS60 and FS80 LiftPod models that will be displayed in the JLG booth offer facility professionals complete, hands-free 360-degree range of motion in a stable and enclosed platform at working heights at 12 feet (FS60) or as high as 14 feet in the FS80. In addition to these features, each model is lightweight and portable with the stability of a work platform, and can be moved by one person.

Because both models consist of just three lightweight components, each weighing about 50 pounds, they can be assembled and disassembled in less than 30 seconds. With an attachable work tray that holds up to 33 pounds of tools and materials, the LiftPod has a 330-pound rated capacity. Once disassembled, the LiftPod can fit in the back of a pick-up truck, van or SUV for extra convenience when moving between work sites. The LiftPod is powered by an 18-volt cordless drill or an optional Power Pack Kit for ease of elevation.

The new LiftPod FS60 was designed to address the needs of office building, education, hospitality and healthcare markets, where facility and safety managers need a new solution while working at heights.

The FS60 has a 30-in. wide base makes it a breeze to move through interior doorways fully assembled. The compact mast height provides clearance when working under 8-ft. ceilings, and the non-marking rear caster wheels increase mobility in tight spaces.

The JLG booth will also feature a monitor that will play videos from LiftPod's YouTube channel. The videos showcase the aerial work platform in a variety of applications, including healthcare facilities and schools.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the ASSE Conference and Exhibition, which includes more than 400 exhibitors featuring safety, health and environmental products and services. More than 4,000 professionals attend this networking and educational conference every year.
