Flint Trading Acquires Integrated Paving Concepts' Thermoplastic Markings Business

Flint Trading Inc., manufacturer of preformed thermoplastic pavement markings, acquired Integrated Paving Concepts' (IPC) preformed thermoplastic pavement markings business. Two of IPC's brands, DuraTherm and StreetPrint XD (now known as TrafficPatternsXD), will be added to the extensive line of preformed thermoplastic products at Flint.

To strengthen this transition, Flint has enlisted a dedicated team of regional sales managers to provide customer support and business development in the TrafficScapes market.

Steve Vetter, Flint CEO and president, said: "With Flint's legacy of providing superior pavement marking products and unmatched service to the Regulatory Traffic Safety market for over 23 years, we believe Flint is uniquely positioned to meet the growing demand from engineers, architects, and contractors who build streetscapes for livable communities and dynamic commercial properties. These partnerships allow Flint to contribute to the safety, traffic calming, and appearance aspects of a shared roadway system."

Headquartered in Thomasville, N.C., Flint Trading manufactures and distributes a line of preformed thermoplastic pavement marking products that are used in all 50 states, Canada, and Mexico. Flint's U.S. facility is ISO 9001:2008 certified for design, development, and manufacturing. Flint offers pavement markings for use on streets and highways, crosswalks, intersections, parking areas, and many airside and landside uses at airports. From lines, legends, and arrows to traffic calming crosswalks and detectable warnings, Flint's products help motorists, cyclists, pilots, and pedestrians move in the right direction . . . safely.
