Godwin Pumps Branch Hit Hard by Flood Waters

Logan Township, NJ - A "perfect storm" of circumstances led to some disastrous flooding in Bridgeport as water levels rose and levees were breached over the weekend, causing big problems for the local Godwin Pumps branch and many residents.

Saturday's massive rainfall, coupled with an abnormally high tide, a full moon driving that tide and winds in excess of 30 miles per hour, caused waters to rise much higher than normal.

At Godwin Pumps, this meant submerged vehicles and equipment, extra man hours and a long clean-up process.

"This all added to a deluge of water that overwhelmed the infrastructure," said Mike Delzingaro, the Northeast regional manager for Godwin Pumps. "Needless to say we're doing everything we can to get the water out."
