Liberty Tire Recycling to Highlight Benefits of Rubberized Asphalt

The company will share the benefits of rubberized asphalt at the 54th annual New Jersey Asphalt Paving Conference.

PITTSBURGH - Liberty Tire Recycling, a provider of tire recycling services in North America, will share the benefits of rubberized asphalt to attendees of the 54th annual New Jersey Asphalt Paving Conference, being held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in New Brunswick, New Jersey on March 8 and 9. Liberty Tire Recycling is serving as an exhibitor at the conference.

"Communities large and small across New Jersey are facing budget shortfalls and fewer resources in the wake of the recent economic downturn," said Jeffrey Kendall, CEO of Liberty Tire Recycling. "When it comes to repaving roads and highways, rubberized asphalt offers value to these communities and their road crews. It is considerably less expensive to maintain than traditional paving."

Liberty Tire Recycling transforms scrap tires into crumb rubber at a network of production facilities across North America. Paving contractors hired by municipalities can then mix that crumb rubber with traditional asphalt to produce a high-performance alternative to traditional paving materials. Rubberized asphalt resists cracking and rutting, it improves skid resistance, and it makes for a quieter ride. It also decreases maintenance costs and provides an outlet for scrap tires that may have otherwise ended up in a landfill.

The Annual Asphalt Pavement Conference is New Jersey's top event for professionals working in all phases of asphalt paving construction, operations, and research. The event draws more than 400 consultants, contractors, suppliers, designers, government agency employees, researchers, and others involved in the paving industry.
