William Earley Appointment Helps MAPEI Cement Its Growth

William Earley is new with Concrete Restoration Systems business in America

DEERFIELD BEACH, FLORIDA -- MAPEI is expanding the Concrete Restoration Systems (CRS) business unit of its Americas subsidiary through dedicated staffing with technically knowledgeable, experienced sales and marketing people. The company established an advantageous position with the recent hiring of William''Bud'' Earley as a Concrete Restoration Specialist - CRS in Central Florida. ''Bud brings to the table more than 30 years of experience in concrete restoration, repair and protection,'' said Kevin Smith, National Sales Director of MAPEI's CRS group.''His technical strengths will support our customers as they move forward with concrete repair and waterproofing projects in the Southeast, and his long-time involvement with the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI) will provide insight to MAPEI as we develop innovative new products for our industry.''

Before coming to MAPEI, Earley was Managing Principal of Professional Concrete Solutions, a Florida-based consulting firm. He has served in a wide variety of leadership roles in the concrete industry, including National Business Development Manager for the Euclid Chemical Company as well as R&D and Technical Service Management positions for Thoro System Products and Sika Corporation. His experience includes development of product specifications and concrete repair solutions, as well as work with decorative paints, protective coatings, clear sealers, vehicular and pedestrian traffic membranes, grouts and other concrete-related materials.

Earley's association with ICRI is extensive. He is a Fellow of ICRI, Vice President of the ICRI Executive Committee, a past member of the Board of Directors and Technical Activities Committee, Co-Chair of the Education Committee, and a member of the Repair Materials and Methods Committee (Chair 2001-2006) and the ICRI Finance Committee. On the local level, he has been a Director of the ICRI Florida West Coast Chapter for many years and has served as Vice President and Director of the Southwest Florida Chapter for the past 3 years. Earley is also a member of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) and an active member of the Tampa Chapter, and has been certified as a Construction Documents Technologist (CDT) since 1989. He has lectured for the CSI at the American Segmental Bridge Institute and at numerous ICRI conventions. Plus, he has published technical works in the Concrete Repair Bulletin, the Construction Specifier, and Roads and Bridges magazines.
