Greenwich, CT - United Rentals Inc. has announced that the company has been named The Official Equipment Rental Partner of The PGA of America through 2014. Approximately 10,000 golf facilities nationwide that are staffed by PGA Professionals will now be able to benefit from expert advice and a National Account relationship with United Rentals for quality equipment services. The new licensing agreement also features United Rentals serving as co-presenting sponsor of the PGA Winter Championships and as a supporting sponsor of Golf Retirement Plus.

The PGA Winter Championships is a six-event series that opened its 58th season, Jan. 7, at PGA Golf Club and continues through Feb. 7, providing additional competitive playing opportunities for the nation's PGA Professionals. The PGA Winter Championships are presented by Premier Golf and United Rentals.
Founded in 1997, Golf Retirement Plus is a supplemental retirement program for PGA Professionals and apprentices, GCSAA Superintendents, and CMAA Club Managers, which allows them to make their own contributions or have their employers contribute to their Golf Retirement Plus account on their behalf. PGA Professionals may also earn personal retirement incentives by participating in the Golf Retirement Plus Sponsor Programs.
