NRMCA to Hold Online Safety Course

The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association will hold its Safety Certification Course in an online webinar in April.

SILVER SPRING, MD - The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association will hold its increasingly popular online Safety Certification Course to help the ready mixed concrete industry reduce accidents and incidents. The course will be offered via Webinar, separated into 2-hour segments that will total 18 hours of lecture followed by a 2-hour certification test. The dates are April 11-15 and April 18-21.

This course is designed specifically for the ready mix industry, teaching participants about OSHA safety compliance. It begins with why safety is so important and details the reasons why an effective safety program actually saves money through loss prevention and control. For course details, click here.

"We made these training programs specific to the ready mixed concrete industry for a quicker transfer of knowledge to the workforce," said Doug Rexroad, director of health, safety and environmental at NRMCA member company Essroc Ready Mix and NRMCA Safety Task Group chairman. "And moving the Safety Course to an online platform has helped companies save on the travel costs during these hard economic times."
