ARTBA Offers Transportation Builder Institute Academy January 11 - 15, 2010

Award-winning faculty set to offer transportation project managers skills they need to succeed in a competitive construction market

These are testimonials from two past "graduates" about the value of the American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) Foundation's "Project Management Academy" (PMA), which is returning to the Nation's Capital for the 2010 session this January 11-15. Operated by the ARTBA Foundation's "Transportation Builder Institute," the intensive PMA provides both substantive theory and practical application of project management principles for road and bridge building construction project managers.

  • Jay S. Newitt, Ph.D., currently on the faculty at Brigham Young University, is one of the industry's leading "critical path method" educators and a prominent author of construction scheduling, project management and oversight textbooks. He has trained over 5,000 project managers and superintendents and has developed a method to teach complex industry principles in a practical, easy - to - understand way. Jay has received the National Association of Home Builders "Educator of the Year Award."
  • James P. Gelatt, Ph.D., the author of three project management books, he has co - edited two other books on marketing and administration and has been a leading educator in the fields of organization leadership, strategic management, decision - making, and change - processes. He teaches at the University of Maryland.
  • Christopher J. Brasco, named one of the "Best Lawyers in America" in the Construction Law Category for 2008 - 2010, he is a noted speaker and advisor on contract management, project administration and dispute resolution.   • Mark A.
