Powered by the new Kohler CH270 7-horsepower horizontal-shaft Command PRO engine, this saw will rival any saw in its class. The Command PRO's Quad-Clean technology is a Kohler innovation and one of the industry's first four-stage air-cleaning systems. The design makes the Command PRO engine ideal for harsh weather and work conditions. Quad-Clean technology keeps the engine free from debris, minimizing maintenance and cleaning efforts. In addition, the air cleaner doubles as a warm air intake system for optimal operation in colder conditions. With one turn of the air cleaner on the Command PRO, the engine is able to recycle the heat from the muffler, all within 15 seconds and without requiring any tools or kits to buy.
The larger fuel tank on the Command PRO engines allows users continuous operation for longer time periods, resulting in less downtime and greater productivity. Kohler has also equipped this new engine with a larger muffler to reduce engine noise.
Additional features of the Command PRO engine include: a cast iron-lined single slant cylinder and OHV for extended life and better emission control; a larger recoil starter and dual ball bearings that make the engine very easy to start; and a low-oil protection system that automatically shuts down the engine in case of low oil to ensure engine protection at all times.
The wet or dry cutting CX3 Kohler is built with an all aluminum frame construction that makes it lightweight and portable. The folding handlebar makes it compact for easy transportation and storage. With a 1" diameter blade shaft and self-aligning pillow bearings you get accurate cutting. The CX-3 is designed with easy access to the control panel. The built-in water distribution system supplies water to both sides of the blade and the blade guard can be positioned for left- or right-hand cutting.
