ICUEE 2009 Onsite Update

ICUEE 2009 show posting strong numbers despite economy.

By the close of its first day, October 6, the 2009 International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE) had nearly 16,000 registered attendees, one of its strongest showings ever. ICUEE 2009 runs October 6 - 8 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky.

More than 780 exhibitors are taking over 1 million net square feet of exhibit space - 25 acres - to display the latest innovations and technologies in utility/construction equipment, products and services. Hands-on working-equipment demonstrations of underground, at ground and aerial equipment allow attendees to operate the machines themselves in job-like conditions. And, more than 100 industry-focused education sessions are being held at ICUEE 2009.

"While it's still a down economy, attendees are telling us they need to be here to check out what's happening in the industry, to see and compare the equipment and technologies, and to exchange information and experiences with their peers," stated Show Director Melissa Magestro.

New for ICUEE in 2009 is the co-location of leading industry events, including the inaugural H2O-XPO of the National Rural Water Association (water and wastewater), and NRWA is also holding its annual convention in conjunction with ICUEE; the iP Safety Conference and Expo (safety and training); and the IUV Technology Conference (design and engineering).

"These industry co-locations extend the value of the show experience - they help attendees and exhibitors save time and money and enhance the industry-wide knowledge sharing,"Magestro added.
