GREENWICH, CT (October 27, 2011) -- United Rentals, Inc. (NYSE: URI) announced the further expansion of its trench safety rental network with the opening of three locations in the eastern United States. The new branches in Nashville, TN, Raleigh, NC, and Baltimore, MD, extend the company's trench safety presence to a total of 58 locations in the U.S. and Canada.

The United Rentals branch network integrates the company's general equipment rentals and trench safety, power and HVAC businesses into what the company says is the industry's largest customer-service footprint.
