Helifix, Inc. has advanced its DryFix Seismic Connector System to reconnect and stabilize existing damaged masonry or to provide retrofit strengthening and seismic upgrade for unaffected buildings. The system is a positive lock seismic connector for retrofit application that combines HeliBars, DryFix remedial ties, and patented seismic connectors to improve structural strength and enhance resistance to earthquake tremors. The product secures connections with brickwork, CMU blocks, stonework, concrete, marble, limestone, travertine, terracotta and timber. They are flexible to permit normal masonry movement, designed to shed water in cavity construction and provide strong axial restraint in both tension and compression.
