Eric Deardorff with Fayetteville Contractors Inc. in Fayetteville, PA, was the grand prize recipient of the Asphalt Contactor Safety Vest promotion at the World of Asphalt 2012 Show & Conference held in Charlotte, NC, from March 13-15.
The grand prize recipient was randomly drawn on March 15 at noon by Amy Schwandt, publisher of Asphalt Contractor. Deardoff won $250 when his name was drawn.
In addition to Asphalt Contractor magazine, sponsors of the vest included The Road Institute, sponsored by Volvo, and Asphalt Drum Mixers (ADM).
The ANSI safety vests were handed out in the sponsors' booths as well as the Asphalt Contractor booth during the show. During show hours, $100 bills were randomly awarded to attendees wearing the safety vests on the show floor. Thousands of dollars in $100 bills were awarded. Anyone was eligible to win the grand prize.
