Atlas Copco has appointed John Brookshire as general manager for the U.S. Compressor Technique Customer Center.

Brookshire, a 28-year veteran of Atlas Copco, moves back to his native U.S. following four years in China, where he managed the Atlas Copco Compressor Technique Customer Center in Shanghai. Prior to that, Brookshire served as managing director of Atlas Copco Manufacturing in Korea and worked in Mexico before that, spending four years in each country.

Brookshire began his career with Atlas Copco in 1984 as an area sales manager in the southeast United States. He was appointed Eastern Regional Manager for the Holyoke (Mass.) Customer Center in 1993 before becoming the international sales manager in North and South America for the Gas and Process division in 1996.

John begins his new position in the United States effective immediately.
