Aerial lift manufacturer Snorkel has strengthened its presence in Brazil, with the appointment of a new partner.
Movimenttar Equipamentos Industriais, based in Sao Paolo, is a subsidiary of Comingersoll, one of Brazil’s leading distributors of construction and industrial equipment. Founded in December 2011, Movimenttar is the group’s dedicated company in Brazil for the supply of aerial lifts and materials handling equipment. Along with Snorkel, it also represents the Doosan brand of fork lift trucks.
Marcos Sampaio, Director General of Movimenttar, said: "We established Movimenttar to focus on the evolving market for materials handling equipment and aerial lifts.

Tracing its roots back to 1946, Snorkel produces more than 30 aerial work platforms for construction and industrial applications, for working at heights from 3m to 40m. It has factories in North America, Europe, China and New Zealand. The company sells through carefully selected “full-service” distributors – dealers who can offer a high level of after-sales care and technical support as well as being strong in sales and marketing.
Movimenttar is the latest subsidiary in the highly reputable Comingersoll group that distributes equipment for construction, materials handling and industrial applications, such as Doosan, Snorkel, Samsung Techwin compressors and dryers; Boge compressors; and Sysadvance generators. Headquartered in Sorocaba, Brazil's Comingersoll group also has offices in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Mato Grosso do Sul and Espirito Santo. Snorkel has also worked with Comingersoll in Portugal for many years.

Movimenttar is already working hard to promote Snorkel to its customers, attending high profile trade shows this year including M&T Expo, Agrishow and Mecanica. Most recently, it attended Fispal Tecnologia, Latin America’s leading event for packaging, processing and logistics for the food and beverage industries. Held in São Paolo, the show featured more than 2,000 exhibitors over 80,000sq m and attracted 64,000 professional visitors.
