Ceratech Inc. announced today that Michael H. Weber joined Ceratech USA as Corporate Director, Business Development & Communications. Weber, an industry veteran with 30 years of industry backgroung in the cement, concrete and construction industry, brings a wide range of experiences to Ceratech USA as they continue expanding their market reach with high performance, zero-carbon cements for concrete.
"It's exciting to be on the front edge of our industry with game changing technology," stated Weber. "Ceratech is the first commercialized 'green' cement in the marketplace. Their cements for concrete provide superior performance and durability, while offering corrosion and heat resistance in industrial applications. In addition, Ready Mixed Concrete Producers, Precast Manufacturers, and Concrete Contractors can quickly integrate this low carbon, sustainable cement system into their daily product offerings," Weber explained.
In December 2006, Weber received Hanley Wood Media's The Industry's Ten Most Influential People award and was profiled in Concrete Construction magazine. He is a Trustee and past Co-Chair for the National Association of Home Builder's (NAHB) Leading Suppliers Council, past Chairman of NAHB's Building Systems Council, long serving member of NAHB's International Oversight Task Group, and past President of NAHB's Concrete Home Building Council. Weber is a voting member for the American Concrete Institute's (ACI) Residential 332 Committee, ACI's Insulating Concrete Form 560 Committee, and past Executive Board Member of NAHB and the Insulating Concrete Form Association (ICFA).
His most recent position was Executive Vice President for Building Works, Inc. Previous positions include: Vice President of Operations for Lancaster Redevelopment, Director of Residential for the Portland Cement Association (PCA), Vice President of Operations for Johnson Poured Walls, and Director of Training and Product Promotion with Consumers Concrete Corporation.
