The Cat 450F backhoe loader is powered by a 127-hp (396 lb.-ft. of torque) Cat C4.4 ACERT engine meeting EPA Tier 4 Interim emission standards. Cat added capability with the diesel particulate filter necessary to meet emmissions limits by boosting gross horsepower 5%. Closed-center, load-sensing hydraulics driven by a variable-flow main pump are now electronically controlled to enhance response and deliver more precise control at the backhoe and loader, improve productivity and increase fuel economy.
