Green Truck Association Names 2013 Officers of the Board of Directors

Association elects representatives from Odyne, Freightliner, Altec and the City of Columbus as new officers

The Green Truck Association (GTA) recently announced the election of new officers of the Board of Directors during the annual Board meeting held in Indianapolis, IN. The GTA is an affiliate division of the NTEA, the Association for the Work Truck Industry.

Joe Dalum, president and chief executive officer of Odyne Systems, LLC (Waukesha, WI), was elected President; David Bryant, manager of vocational sales for Freightliner Trucks (Fort Mill, SC), was elected Vice President; and Bill Burns, fleet operations manager for the City of Columbus, Ohio (Columbus, OH), was named Treasurer. Each will serve a one-year term.

Also serving on the Board are Shawn Brougham, director, marketing and product engineering for Altec Industries (St. Joseph, MO), and Rob Stevens, chief nameplate engineer, commercial truck programs for Ford Commercial Truck (Dearborn, MI). Each will serve a three-year term.

The GTA’s mission is to improve the efficiency and productivity of work trucks through the development and deployment of strategies to reduce diesel and gasoline consumption and the associated environmental impacts.

The goal of the GTA is to continue the progression of green work trucks through:

  • Showcasing green trucks and technology developments
  • Serving as the resource for legislative, regulatory and funding initiatives relevant to green truck development
  • Supplying market data and technical resources relevant to green truck development
  • Sharing timely news on green truck products and initiatives
