World of Asphalt 2013 Sees Near-Record Attendance

The show saw more than 5,750 in attendance during day one and a record 8,320 tickets purchased for its education programs

Opening day of the World of Asphalt 2013 saw near-record registered attendance totaling more than 5,750 at the close of the day Tuesday, March 19. Attendees came from all 50 states, 8 Canadian provinces and 50 other countries worldwide. The show is being held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas.

The show floor spans a record 123,600-plus net square feet of the latest equipment and products from more than 385 exhibitors showcasing their newest product innovations and technologies.

Attendees have also purchased a record 8,320 tickets to the show's education programs.

"Attendees tell us they know the shows are where they'll find the equipment and products and the industry knowledge they need to succeed. Exhibitors cite the quality of the shows to facilitate networking and connect buyers and sellers. There's real energy and enthusiasm there as our industry looks to the future," said Show Manager Rich Prausa.

The co-located 2013 World of Asphalt Show & Conference and AGG1 Aggregates Academy & Expo run through Thursday, March 21.
