Volvo Rents has restructured its MidSouth Division to now include two divisions designed to make its equipment more readily available and accessible throughout Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi.

The newly created North MidSouth Division will manage the Volvo Rents branches in West Monroe, LA; Bossier City, LA; El Dorado, AR; Mabelvale, AR; Pine Bluff, AR; Texarkana, AR; and Pearl, MS. The South MidSouth Division will manage the company’s branches in Alexandria, LA; Geismar, LA; Slidell, LA; Covington, LA; Hammond, LA; Hattiesburg, MS; and Gulfport, MS.

“This is a pivotal move in a market that continues to present great opportunities for Volvo Rents,” said Bruce Slaughter, vice president of the company’s Central Region. “Making our used and well-maintained equipment more readily available and accessible allows us to better service our rental customers with the latest and greatest in construction equipment.”

As part of the restructure, Volvo Rents has promoted two existing employees to management positions for the new divisions. David Purdy, a 10-year company veteran, will serve as manager of the South MidSouth Division, while Curt Gober, who joined Volvo Rents in 2012, will serve as manager of the North MidSouth Division.

“The operation of these two new divisions is a real opportunity for us to gain further market penetration by aggressively selling the value of equipment rental at this point in the economic recovery," said Gober. “It is our time to help our customer base succeed in their businesses. We are the catalyst that enables economic growth and allows businesses to recover, employ people and strengthen the economy.”
