Available 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 expected to be rated 420 hp and 450 lb.-ft. of torque, making the 2014 Sierra 1500 the most powerful half-ton on the market

With 6.2L V8 available in Sierra 1500 Denali and SLT, it is expected to have class-leading 12,000-lb. trailering capacity.

GMC says the new 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 available in the 2014 Sierra 1500 Denali and SLT full-size pickup models will produce an estimated 420 hp and 450 lb.-ft. of torque, the most power and torque of any light-duty truck engine. Final SAE-rated power and torque numbers will be available later this year.

With 6.2L V8, Sierra is expected to have 12,000 lb. trailering capacity
Standard 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 produces 355 hp and offers better EPA fuel economy (23 mpg highway on 2WD models) than any other V8 or turbocharged V6 pickup
Eight-in. Customizable Driver Display can show relevant settings, audio and navigation information in the instrument panel
Eight-in. Color Touch navigation radio with Intellilink, above the center console, serves as hub for phones and other portable devices connected through Bluetooth and five USB ports
