California Sets Warm Mix Asphalt Specifications

Contractors in California no longer need special permission through a change order to use WMA

Caltrans recently published the latest warm mix asphalt (WMA) update to their specifications. The Standard Specifications are revised to allow contractors to use WMA technologies in all projects. Contractors can select a WMA technology from the approved list and must meet the material and placement requirements of hot mix asphalt. Contractors in California no longer need special permission through a change order to use WMA.
