Carlson Paving Products is joining the ranks of over 160 manufacturing companies from across the country in pledging its support for the Association of Equipment Manufacturers’ (AEM) “I Make America” campaign. Carlson Paving Products has been a leader in highway class screed technology with innovative designs and solutions for the contractors who use them.

I Make America is a grassroots campaign that was launched in September 2010 to dramatically improve American manufacturing policies to create more jobs in the U.S. and keep our economy competitive with other countries. The “I Make America” campaign and its supporters also encourage elected officials to support legislation that could help protect and create jobs in the U.S. manufacturing industry.

“Carlson has been a proud supporter of creating innovative products that are built in the USA, and help the nation with creating jobs that will allow growth and prosperity in the future," says Chris Colwell, president of Carlson Paving Products. "I Make America, and all it stands for, aligns perfectly with Carlson’s vision for the future.”

AEM is excited to welcome Carlson Paving Products to the I Make America team," says Dennis Slater, president of AEM. "I Make America has proudly represented the equipment manufacturing industry for more than three years now. Together with Carlson Paving Products our voice will be even stronger as we call on the policy makers whose decisions in the coming months and years will play a significant role on our industry’s ability to operate and grow here in the United States.”

The I Make America campaign has enlisted the support of more than 27,000 people nationwide, AEM’s 850+ member companies, and industry organizations. As a supporter of the “I Make America” program, Carlson Paving Products plans to involve a significant number of its more than 100 employees in outreach efforts to their state, local and federal legislators; promote campaign sign-ups at trade shows and with allied trade associations.
