The PC170LC-10 is part of Komatsu's dash-10 series of excavators that features up to 5% more lift capacity with the standard counterweight and up to 15% more lift capacity with the optional heavier counterweight compared to the previous PC160LC-8 model. The PC170LC-10 is also said to be 10% more fuel-efficient than its predecessor, depending on the application.
