ReachMaster Inc. unveiled its new PB Scissor Lifts from PB Lifttechnik Germany at ConExpo 2014 and sold the first in North America to unique rental company, Lizzy Lift. The lifts were delivered in September 2014, and now they are adding a third.
The PB 7448 is a highly advanced electric scissor lift that is only 4 feet wide, yet able to reach 74 feet. Lizzy Lift has kept its first two PB Lifts in high rental utilization with long-term rentals since acquisition, which is what led to the decision to purchase a third unit.
Anne Mondlock, rental manager at Lizzy Lift, said that they are primarily renting to existing racking installation customers but that they receive a ton of organic calls since Lizzy Lift is the only company in North America that currently rents out the narrow and tall scissor lifts.
The PB 7448 is 100 percent battery driven and features well thought out details which gives excellent usability, such as compact build method, optimal turn radius, proportional steering and error check diagnosis, just to name a few. The PB 7448 also has a weight sensor/control for platform and scissor system, dual controls (platform control box plus ground controls) and a highly advanced diagnostic system.
Jen DuBose, president at Lizzy Lift said, "In our opinion, the PB Lift is the next 'big thing' in industrial maintenance and equipment installation applications," adding that Lizzy Lift feels that by adding a third unit the company will be able to serve its customers even better than before.
