Proposed Bill Would Create $50 Billion Infrastructure Fund
Congressman John K. Delaney has introduced the Partnership to Build America Act. This legislation encourages global corporations based in the U.S. to purchase bonds which in turn would allow them to "repatriate, or bring home, a certain dollar amount in their overseas earnings tax-free," according to the Gazette.net. The fund would provide loans to local governments for infrastructure projects which would be built through public-private partnerships.
