In the new Discovery Channel show Machines of Glory, each week three crews of America's best operators go head to head in outrageous challenges that test their speed, skill and power while operating excavators, backhoes, skid steers, wheel loaders and dozers. And of course, they get to blow stuff up.
Caterpillar is all over the show as a sponsor and technical advisor. And ForConstructionPros got an advance look at this show trailer and met the host and producers at Cat's Clayton, N.C., compact wheel loader manufacturing plant.
The show also explains how the machines work and how they are normally used. This is the network of American Chopper, World's Toughest Trucker, Deadliest Catch, Gold Rush and Bering Sea Gold. Producers said Machines of Glory is tentatively scheduled to air on the Discovery Channel later in March.
