Dynapac test results of its new ECO Mode fuel saving system demonstrated a 15 to 20% reduction in fuel consumption. ECO Mode testing was conducted on Dynapac rollers in the large CC, mid-sized CA and smaller CG models.

  • ECO Mode reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by giving the roller only the amount of power that is necessary to operate at any given time. In fact, fuel economy is even greater during compacting operations than it is during idling or driving. Customers can also save an additional 15 to 20% in fuel costs by using biodegradable hydraulic oil.
  • Atlas Copco manufactures its entire range of 7- to 13-ton tandem asphalt rollers, the new CA2500-CA6500 soil compactors and the CG2300 double drum vibratory roller with iT4/Stage IIIB engines, further increasing their efficiency. The new 5.5-ton CA1300 and the new 8-ton CA1500 also come with Tier 4 Final and iT4 engines.
  • ECO Mode, which comes with adjustable vibration frequency and a frequency meter, is included with all CA rollers purchased with Atlas Copco’s traction/performance package.
