The addition of high pressure and low pressure surface preparation/cleaning equipment to the Blastrac product offering will enhance the company’s position as a solution provider for surface preparation projects

Blastrac Global

Blastrac Global has acquired Nilfisk Cyclone Technology from the Nilfisk Group, effective October 1, 2016.  The acquired entity will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Blastrac Global and will be known as Cyclone Technology, LLC. Cyclone Technology is a manufacturer of high pressure and low pressure surface preparation/cleaning equipment, using proprietary and patented technology.

The addition of high pressure and low pressure surface preparation/cleaning equipment to the Blastrac product offering will enhance the company’s position as a solution provider for surface preparation projects using a “toolbox” approach.  The proprietary nature of the Cyclone offering along with its high productivity and performance reputation is a natural fit with other Blastrac products which have always enjoyed the industry’s highest reputation for quality and performance.

The company is located in Tempe, AZ, where it designs, manufacturers and distributes its product line and associated parts. All sales and marketing activities are coordinated through the sales, product and marketing team in Tempe.  The company employs 30 people and reported $6+ million in sales over the last 12 months. Cyclone has an active customer base in North America, South America, The Middle East, Australia and Asia.

Cyclone Technology will operate as a separate entity within the Blastrac Global Group, but the group plans to use its sales and distribution centers around the world to assist in sales and service activities to enhance the experience of Cyclone customers and provide a differentiated offering compared to Cyclone competitors.  Mr. Bill Bamford will continue to serve as vice president/general manager of Cyclone Technology, LLC.  All employees of the Cyclone team will remain with the company when acquisition is complete.
