GSSI, a leading manufacturer of ground penetrating radar (GPR) equipment, announces the completion of its state-of-the-art new headquarters, which feature a modern work environment and ample space to accommodate the company’s rapid growth. The design of the facility includes an emphasis on Green initiatives, with an energy efficient HVAC system and LED lighting, an interior green space including a 20-ft. tall tree, and extensive use of natural lighting.

The 70,000-sq.-ft. facility, located in a renovated building in an Economic Revitalization Zone in Nashua, NH, offers more than double the amount of space as the company’s former headquarters in Salem, NH. The new building provides an updated, modern work environment for GSSI’s 80 current employees, and provides space to accommodate future growth to 200 employees.

“As an industry leader, we have seen our growth accelerate over recent years as the need for effective underground imaging and infrastructure assessment solutions increases,” said Chris Hawekotte, President of GSSI. “The new GSSI Headquarters provides world-class office, manufacturing and R&D space, as well as a unique indoor training and test area that allows us to imitate real-world situations where GPR can be used.”

The new location features an open R&D environment with flexible laboratory space to maximize collaboration among employees and drive innovation. Additionally, the building’s training and test facility includes an extensive indoor test area, with a large underground pit that emulates sub-surface utilities and geophysical features. GSSI will utilize this space to test new designs and train both employees and customers.

“The expanded capabilities offered by the new building will allow us to support the efforts of our employees, serve our existing customers and provide the necessary platform for us to continue to develop innovative products for seeing what’s below the surface,” Hawekotte added.

The company will host an open house for the new facility in early summer.
