Metabo HPT has announced new additions to its pneumatic nailer lineup with the 3-1/4-in. 21° Framing Nailer with Aluminum Magazine and Depth Adjustment (NR83A5Y) and 3-1/4-in. 21° Framing Nailer with Aluminum Magazine without Depth Adjustment (NR83A5S1). Additionally, the high-grade Aluminum Magazine is sold separately (part # 890624) and can be installed on any NR83 model that is out in the market today for added versatility based on the user’s preference.

The 21° Aluminum Magazine for Metabo HPT NR83 Series Nailers (part # 890624) fits any Metabo HPT NR83 series pneumatic nailer. The Aluminum Magazine part is composed of high-grade aluminum alloy for durability. The Aluminum Magazine capacity is 50 -70 nails (2 strips). It accepts 21° plastic collated nails ranging in length from 2-in. up to 3-1/4-in. in length and .113-in. to .131-in. in diameter.

The 3-1/4-in. Plastic Strip Collated Framing Nailer with Aluminum Magazine and Depth Adjustment (NR83A5Y) has a tool-less depth of drive adjustment for control and flexibility when fastening into various types of wood.

The 3-1/4-in. Plastic Strip Collated Framing Nailer with Aluminum Magazine (NR83A5S1) comes without the Depth Adjustment feature.

Both nailers feature Metabo HPT’s cylinder valve driving system, which uses the cylinder to open and close the valve. The cylinder valve system is also self-cleaning and resistant to grease and grime buildup.

These new A5 framing nailers with Aluminum Magazines accept 21° plastic collated nails ranging from 2-in. to 3-1/4-in. in length and .113-in. to.131-in. in diameter. The Aluminum Magazines can hold two strips of nails at a time and feature a locking feeder system for replenishments. The hardened claw tips resist wear on the nose and minimize slippage when driving at an angle or “toe-nailing.” The product come with factory installed ¼-in. industrial fittings with a recommended operating air pressure of 70-120 psi.

Heavy-duty rafter hooks are included with the A5 series and can be mounted on the left or right side of the nailers. In the event of a lodged nail, the open nose design provides access to clear the jam. Non-slip rubber grips on the handles help maintain a secure hold. These nailers weigh just 8.8-lbs. or 9.1-lbs. if the rafter hook is installed and offer a supportive power to weight ratio.
