A panel of 50 auto writers from the U.S. and Canada listed vehicles that qualify for their annual Truck of the Year competition. Among crossovers and SUVs, the only pickup trucks that qualified for the 2014 awards are the Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra, and Toyota Tundra.

To qualify, vehicles have to be all-new or significantly revised for the 2014 model year. The winner will be announced January 13, the first press day of the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
