GM Hikes Pricing More than $2,000 on 2014 Chevy, GMC 1500 Pickup Trucks

After debuting near their 2013-model pricing, the redesigned 2014 Silverado and Sierra now start at $26,670 and $27,170

Base prices for the 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 and 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 have risen more than $2,000 since their introductions in April.

Chevy Silverado debuted at a base price of $24,585; the same as the outgoing 2013 base model. The 2014 GMC Sierras debuted with a $500 price increase.

Prices of the base trucks now start at $26,670 for the Silverado and $27,170 for the Sierra, including destination charges of $1,095 each.

“We’re executing the next phase of our launch strategy now that we have all three body styles and the V-6 and V-8 powertrains in the market,” said GM spokesman Jim Cain.
