Construction Halted on NY Tower After Guardrail Falls 81 Stories

No injuries occurred after guardrail lands in front of an occupied building across the street from the construction site

The New York Times

Construction at 432 Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan stopped briefly after a section of guardrail fell from a hoist near the top of the building. Construction resumed one day after the stop-work order was imposed. The 8-foot-long section of guardrail became dislodged from the hoist, which was at the 81st floor of the 96-story building. The guardrail landed in front of the main entrance of an occupied building across the street. Luckily, nobody was injured.
