Each year, the North American Power Sweeping Association launches a new board and each year that board meets in person for a planning session. Held in conjunction with National Pavement Expo, the NAPSA board met in February and set a direction for 2022. We took a look at the industry and the challenges that are faced in power sweeping industry and said…what is needed to help this industry, because that is what NAPSA does.

This year’s list of needs was pared down to basically one major priority..…getting qualified and trained operators into driver seats. Finding qualified employees is probably the biggest pain point for 2022. The room of 15 industry rockstars contemplated for hours on what NAPSA could do to facilitate getting skilled operators into seats. The solution was right at our fingertips. The answer is to get education and training to the people.

NAPSA has a history of bringing education to talented people through the use of our SweeperSchool.com website. For 2022, NAPSA has slated a revision of Certified Sweeping Operator Parking Lot, Certified Sweeping Operator Parking Lot Spanish, Certified Sweeping Manager course in Emergency Preparedness, Certified Sweeping Operator Municipality and Certified Sweeping Operator Construction in Spanish. These courses coupled with some additional focused benefits and outreach will fill the agenda for 2022 and bring some added value to members and the industry.

All of the work being brought is being accomplished by members of NAPSA’s volunteer board. They work hard to bring everyone what they need to be successful, and you should probably know who those hard working volunteers are so let’s introduce the 2022 NAPSA Board of Directors:
