2013 On-Highway Diesel Engines

The Cummins line of 2013 on-highway engines include the ISX12 and ISL9 with up to 2% better fuel economy compared with the 2012 model year engines. The ISL G and ISX12 G utilize the same base engine and key components as the diesel engine but also feature Cummins Westport's spark-ignited combustion technology with Stoichiometric cooled exhaust gas recirculation and three-way catalyst.

ISX12

  • Over 800 lb.-ft. of clutch engagement torque
  • SmartTorque ratings deliver an additional 200 lb.-ft. of torque in top two gears

ISL9

  • Ratings from 260 to 380 hp
  • Replaceable wet liners, roller followers, by-pass oil filtration and targeted piston cooling

ISL G

  • Operates on compressed natural gas, liquefied natural gas or biomethane
  • Certified to 2013 EPA standards
  • Ratings from 250 to 320 hp
  • Full-skirted block for reliability and durability

ISX12 G

  • Operates on compressed natural gas, liquefied natural gas or biomethane
  • Ratings from 320 to 400 hp
  • Up to 1,450 lb.-ft. torque
  • EPA 2013 certified
