The 4-tonne 304 and 5-tonne 305 CR Next Generation mini hydraulic excavators deliver more power to the pumps, higher bucket breakout forces and deeper standard digging depths to increase performance by up to 20% over their E2 series counterparts. Their longer grease intervals and extended filter service life, combined with common components throughout the line and flat, easy-to-replace side panels, deliver up to 10% lower owner and operating costs.
The 304 features a narrow 66.9-in. track width for more versatility and access to confined spaces. Its reduced radius allows for greater stability, both 360° and when traveling with loads, while its extra counterweight option enables an even higher level of stability. The unit has a 126.4-in. standard dig depth or 138.2-in. dig depth with long stick. Power is provided by a 45-hp Cat C1.1 Turbo diesel engine.
Equipped with a 45-hp C1.7 Turbo Tier 4 Final/Stage V diesel engine, the 305 CR delivers nearly 9% greater power to increase machine performance. Hydraulic system improvements provide higher breakout forces – 11,061 lbf. bucket, 6,362 lbf. standard stick and 5,665 lbf. long stick – to improve digging efficiency in hard rock applications. At 134.6 in. standard and 144.5 in. with long stick, it also offers 5.6 in. deeper dig depths than the 305 E2.
